Waerebo Tour from Ruteng aims to take you to Waerebo Traditional Village and stay overnight in one of its iconic conical houses. Located deep within the tropical rainforest, Waerebo is an ancient village of the Manggarai people that can only be reached by 2.5-hour walk.
In addition to explore the captivating Waerebo village, you will also have the opportunity to see the unique spider web rice fields. These are a form of rice field resulting from the land division tradition of the Manggarai people on Flores Island.
Our Waerebo tour package offers a well-curated itinerary that begins and ends in Ruteng. However, if you wish, we can customize the tour to end in Labuan Bajo.

Itinerary
Day 1: Ruteng – Waerebo Village
Our Waerebo Tour will be begin by Pick up service from your hotel or other confirm meeting point. Then, you’ll drive about 2.5 hours to Dintor, where you will have lunch stop before starting the trek. After this refuelling, start the trek to Waerebo Village and are led through the rainforest. Once you arrive in Waerebo Village, the village elder will welcome us with simple rituals as a way to greet us. Afterwards, accompanied by our experienced guide, you will be invited to explore the uniqueness and beauty of this village, as well as experience firsthand the atmosphere of the local community’s life. In the evening, you will stay overnight in one of the traditional conical houses provided.
Day 2: Waerebo Village – Ruteng
The second day of Our Waerebo tour begins with breakfast, following by a return to Dintor the same way you arrived. From Dintor, the journey continues to Cancar, where you will have the opportunity to witness the unique spider web rice fields. Finally, the trip concludes in Ruteng for hotel check-in or to continue to your next destination.

Driving from ruteng to the starting point it take 3 hour drive. However, to relieve boredom during the trip we will always offer you a short walk to stretch your legs or to take pictures.
